Originally, LinkedIn was a way for job hunters and employers to easily connect with one another. Over the last few years, it has evolved to so much more than that. A Picture is Worth A Thousand Words
The information found on your LinkedIn page is extremely important, but the photos you put there are just as crucial. It is much easier to look at a colorful photo than it is to go through the effort of reading a bunch of text. Your profile photo should be a colorful, high-quality image of whoever the page is representing. For a personal page, a professional headshot is ideal. For a company page, a high-resolution image of the company’s logo is best. Many people won’t even look at a page if there is no photo on it, so this is critical.
Just like when writing website or other social media content, keywords play an important role on your LinkedIn profile. Your “About Us” section should contain a clear and concise description of your business and its goals, using the keywords of your trade. If this section is too long and doesn’t give the viewer much information, they may lose interest. The use of keywords will help to make sure that viewers have a solid idea of your company and its purpose and goals.
Include Awards and Endorsements
Your logo and the information in your “About Us” section will grab viewers’ attention, but once you have their attention, you should give them a reason to remember your business. A good way to do this is by including various awards, client reviews, and endorsements from other businesses or organizations. This increases your company’s credibility and helps viewers see that you are good at what you do.
