Learn how to use Facebook marketing to your advantage.

LinkedIn is the predominantly touted social media platform for B2B (business-to-business) marketing. But why be limited to LinkedIn? Facebook marketing is actually just as beneficial for B2B as the aforementioned platform, and you should be utilizing it as well. Sure, Facebook is generally thought of as a B2C (business-to-consumer) marketing platform, but as more and more businesses establish pages on Facebook, it has become a great B2B marketing opportunity.

Want to learn how to successfully use B2B Facebook marketing to your advantage? Just practice the following, and you’ll be well on your way!

Post shareable content.

Part of Facebook marketing for B2B involves posting shareable content to your wall. By that, we mean content other businesses want to share, not just what you would share (aka—save the puppy portraits for your personal Facebook). Other businesses will be interested in sharing content that’s relevant and content they think their followers may be interested in.

This can include images, tutorials, news and interesting informative articles—anything your target audience may be interested in. If you sell furniture and office equipment to offices and other facilities, post a link to an article on the year’s top selling office furniture (one that includes furniture you sell).

Proud to be XYZ!

Corporate culture is a huge part of any business. When it comes to B2B, you want other businesses to know working with you is a great opportunity. Most companies do research on a business before signing any contracts, and they’ll be more comfortable working with you if they can get a good grasp of your awesome corporate culture through savvy Facebook marketing.

Some ideas are to post pictures and articles of employee birthdays or promotions, team and company achievements, and any events your business attends as a company.

Promote, promote, promote

As do many B2B companies, you may offer promotional information that other businesses may find interesting. This may include free e-books, webinars, tutorials, and any other free content they can benefit from. Promoting these via Facebook marketing not only attracts other businesses but also gives your company a positive image. Having something to offer other than your services never hurts.

Facebook marketing is a great B2B tool, as long as you use it correctly. Take these tips and market away, and come back for more helpful social media marketing tips!
