Mobile Column Lifts
SLEC offers mobile column lifts in three categories: light to medium-duty, heavy-duty, and reconditioned column lifts. The 12 Type mobile lifts for light-duty vehicles are rated at 12,000 lbs. per column. They are typically used for repairing vehicles such as school buses, vans, and light-duty trucks up to a total weight of 48,000 lbs. The 12 Type mobile lifts are one-person portable, which makes them easy to wheel around any shop and open up any bay as a workstation.
The 18 Tyle mobile lifts for heavy-duty vehicles are rated at 18,000 lbs. per column, and can lift commercial fleet vehicles such as buses, motor coaches and dump trucks. Each column weighs less than 1,000 pounds, so the portable lifts can be easily wheeled to and from workspaces, making it possible to create additional space in a maintenance facility.
All of SLEC’s mobile lifts have many safety features, including the self-locking, guaranteed failsafe ACME threaded screw, and a steel back-up nut to prevent the lift from drifting from its position.

SLEC was set up as a distributor of mobile column lifts in 1976, were purchased in 2005 by their current owners, and moved to their headquarters in Baltimore, MD. in 2014, after nearly 40 years as an import distributor, SLEC began manufacturing US-designed mobile column lifts in America. To this day, no one has more experience than SLEC, Inc. in the inspection and repair of SEFAC (1200M65, S1, S2, S3), SLEC (18Type, 12Type), and Somers (MVL. SVL, CML) portable lifts.
