Giolitti’s Fine Italian Market and Delicatessen is truly an Italian family owned and operated business that provides a variety of dishes and services.

Since the deli’s opening in 1992, Giolitti’s has made its focus to bring time-honored, classic Italian style cuisine and wine to the still historic, on the water, but far less European town of Annapolis, Maryland. The Giolitti family’s passion for Italian food began in Rome in 1889 when they opened up a small shop specializing in milk, cheese and other dairy products. While the business still flourishes in Italy, Mary and Gene Giolitti have since moved to Annapolis where they opened Trattoria La Piccola Roma in 1991, followed by Giolitti’s Delicatessen.

The Inspiration for the expansion was inspired by Mary recognizing there was a need for an Italian market and deli that could offer gourmet as well as traditional Italian items. Giolitti’s has now proven to be more than just a simple Italian styled restaurant, providing catering services, both traditional and gourmet meals, and a Rome inspired market carrying professionally picked wine, beers, and Italian deli foods.

From Rome to Annapolis, the Giolitti family has held on to their cherished Italian dishes and items, and is dedicated to providing them to their Maryland customers in a variety of ways.
